At Hrdajac- Human Rights Defender and Access to Justice Advocacy Centre, our mission is to create a just and inclusive society where human rights are respected, protected, and fulfilled. We strive to empower marginalized communities, amplify their voices, and work collaboratively to address systemic challenges that hinder sustainable development.
At Human Rights Defender and Access to Justice Advocacy Centre, our vision is of a society where justice, equality, and prosperity prevail for every individual. We envision a Nigeria and a world where human rights are not just protected, but deeply embedded in the fabric of society, and where sustainable development is the norm rather than the exception.
The organization’s genesis traces back to the vision of our esteemed co-founder, Mr & Mrs. Olushola, whose commitment to fostering human rights and fostering community harmony inspired the establishment. Prior to this, our advocacy centered on supporting the vulnerable and spearheading awareness efforts, notably halting human trafficking in Edo state. During international engagements, a distressing revelation emerged—Nigerian youths faced rampant sexual exploitation due to inadequate awareness, leading to sexual slavery overseas. This realization propelled us to launch a comprehensive campaign within Edo state. Correspondence with authorities like NAPTIP, Police, EFCC, and engaging with the revered Oba of Benin, culminated in a pivotal ban on human trafficking. Subsequently, we broadened our scope globally, enlisting professionals and enthusiasts—lawyers, doctors, bankers, and students—who rallied behind our cause. Our collaborations extend to partnerships with agencies like EFCC, Police, and NAPTIP,
